There is a few philosophy in the Star Trek saga which some of us may not see it as it is hidden in their story lines. The main idea of Star Trek is about a human being. Each individual of a human being is a unique character with many skills and talents. Usually teens or people from the age of 17 to 25 more or less is trying to find their own identity in soceity, which includes skills, talents or even gifts within them selves.

These things can't emerge by them selves. We have to look for it. A human being is a small universe (micro cosmos), we have to boldly go where we have never gone before inside our self, to seek out new talents and new abillities also gifts that were already there since the beginning of birth, we just need to 'discover' it.

While we are busy exploring the world, let's not forget to explore our selves. There is great but small universe that can be as big as the universe we live in now. This is not only about spirituality but also life. How do you know that you can paint a wonderful paintings if you don't explore and try to paint? How do you know that you can create a beautiful sound of music if you've never touched and played a musical instrument?

A young man looks at another young man flirting with the popular girls in school and said to him self, "Oh he can do that because he is smart, handsome, and athletic not mentioning popular also... " is it like that? is that what life is? there are things when other people are better than you but there are also other things that you are better than the other ( and what is that? ) well, you need to discover it 1st. Benjamin Sisko explored space to discover the wormhole not the otherway around (DS9).

So it will be wise to teach our children not to easily say "I can't". Each human being, man, woman, childrens and elders in richness and poorness, whatever religion and skin color, each is a unique special individual.. and each has unique specialities and gifts waiting to be discovered. We are the humans and we are the aliens as one.
